Furniture Characteristics:

Real leather is soft and luxurious making it an ideal choice for furniture. It is a natural product subject to individual characteristics and marks. Insect bites, scratches, scars and stretch marks are all accumulated over the years and they are considered to enhance the appearance of the leather, distinguishing genuine leather from imitations. They are not weakening defects and will not shorten the life of the leather. All leather will be inclined to stretch and this can form creases or “seating” on the cushions. This is not a fault but a common occurrence and does not affect the quality of the furniture.

Chenille fabrics are manufactured using high quality chenille (PILE) yarns which may flatten during use. This effect can result in shading of fabric but is perfectly normal and does not affect their durability.

All carpets: regular foot traffic will flatten the pile surface in the main walkways, causing areas of differential wear. These areas will appear lighter or shaded in comparison to the less frequently used part. This shading/tracking or flattening happens to all carpets with a pile surface and as such is not accepted as the basis for any complaint. Similarly pile reversal (or watermarking) is a phenomenon that can affect all cut pile carpets and as such is not accepted as a manufacturing fault. In manufacturing Heather shades, several contrasting colours are blended to create a “heather” yarn, as such random colour flecks will be apparent in the carpet. These flecks form part of the effect are not considered the basis of any claim.
